An Objective is a statement of the end result or outcome if you are successful
Focus on the destination rather than how to get there, a task list or a predetermined solution
Describe an important and/or worthwhile goal that inspires and excites people to act
Objectives should be ambitious and challenging but still achievable
Describe the goal or problem (no numbers - they come later with your Key Results)
Set a target date so things don't drift and you know if you are on track
Remove the jargon and express so everyone can understand
To enable focus on the highest priorities and keep tracking efforts sensible
The team who are part of defining their Objectives will be motivated and take accountability
